Paid research studies, paid focus groups, and paid market research groups all amount to the same thing: Money. These paid research studies are funded by companies that want to interview normal people to get their opinion! I’m trying to fund my Antarctica trip solely by doing these paid focus groups, and believe me… it’s paying off! I got $650 in incentives from these paid focus groups in just one month! Online surveys for money is another way to make some cash from these paid market research studies, but just at a slower pace.
There’s a travel quote that says, “You don’t have to be rich to travel well,” by Eugene Fodor. As a teacher, I would hope not! But sometimes all our money gets tied up in necessities, so that’s why these focus groups can be so helpful to get you that extra money so you can travel!
How to find Paid Market Research Studies!
First, you have to find some in your area. Try googling one of the 3 phrases below with your city right after it.
- Paid research studies
- Paid focus group
- Paid Market research
- Paid Market research studies
That should give you a good starting place. However, I’ve also created a list of paid research studies companies in Atlanta, and most have National branches that you can check out as well!
Paid market research studies in Atlanta, National, and Online
The following list is all available in my home city of Atlanta, but I’ll also put if it’s National and Online. Use the map to see which one is near you! Sign up for a lot!
Focus Groups
- Focus Pointe Global ~ 2 Atlanta Locations, National and some online surveys
- Schlesinger Associates ~ National and International
- Fieldwork Atlanta ~ National
- Jackson Associates ~ 2 Atlanta Locations, National
- Nielson Neuro Labs ~ National
- Atlanta Out Loud ~ Just Atlanta
- User Insight ~ Just Atlanta
- Compass Marketing ~ Just Atlanta
- Craigslist ~ National
- Marketforce ~ National and International
- CRG Global Nationwide ~ National
- Opinions LTD ~ Just Atlanta
- Superior Research ~ Just Atlanta
- Plaza Research ~ National
- Talking Heads ~ Just Atlanta
- Respondent ~ Online!
Additional Notes:
Nielson Neuro Labs is unique because they do put something over your hair and track your eye movements. I thought it was kind of cool, but I could see why it might be weird for other people.
Craigslist definitely has some legitimate opportunities. One of my faves was getting paid $275 to walk around a home layout and say my feelings. You find them in the “ETC” category.
Marketforce is how I get paid to watch movies! I mostly like to do the ad and preview checks, but they also have opportunities to build those big cardboard displays. My favorite job I got from them paid for me and a friend to go to the movies, AND I also got paid. Some paperwork is required. They also have mystery shopping.
Taste testing
1. PVR Research
2. Curion
Additional Notes:
To get into Curion, you have to pass a discrimination test where you are charged with being able to tell the difference between different smells and tastes.
Online Surveys for Money
3. E-rewards
4. Google rewards This one is more an app
Additional Notes:
I like E-rewards. Even though the payout is small, the surveys are quick and easy to do. And I can use my rewards to turn them into Southwest Points! Then I use those Southwest points as one of my Skyscanner Hacks!
Google Rewards is great because it gives you money to spend in the Google Playstore.
I like the online surveys for money too because they’re really fast, and I can do them anywhere!

You omitted Focus Forward http://www.focusfwd.com from your list. We run close to 100 studies a month, typically paid telephone interviews, product tests, and online bulletin boards, across the US. For sixteen years, we have been populating market research studies, recruiting thousands of respondents who earn cash while sharing their very valued opinions.
Hi! I’m a teacher too, just found this post and I was looking at the different online surveys. After looking at reviews I’m seeing many people say that they weren’t paid after completing or not being accepted to different surveys, have you had this problem? I’m very reluctant to share my information online and want to be sure! Thanks
Hey, I’ve never had a problem, but I’ll email you in case you don’t read this!
Sometimes, I think it would be fun to be in the focus groups or to taste testings. I think that it would be cool to use the Nielson eye tracking machine and see who they get information on consumers. The different tests would make me feel like I am someone in a Chevy commercial.
They are super fun! I just had one tonight!!
Ive never considered this before! How does it work out with taxes? How do you file small bits of income from here and there? Thanks!
They’re considered “rewards” and “gifts”! No taxes!
